Security Guard

About the role

As a Security Guard at Daimyo x Chakana, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring safety, peace, and security throughout our operational hours.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests professionally at the entrance while discreetly managing entry and dress code protocols
• Conduct routine ID checks and bag/security screenings as required
• Perform regular patrols of the premises, including dining areas, bars, parking zones, emergency exits, and restricted staff areas
• Monitor crowd behavior to identify and prevent potential disturbances, conflicts, or safety hazards early
• De-escalate tense situations or disputes firmly, calmly, and professionally, keeping disruption to other guests at a minimum
• Safely service uncooperative or intoxicated individuals off the premises when necessary
• Act as a first responder during medical emergencies, fires, or security breaches, following established emergency evacuation procedures
• Prevent vandalism, theft, unauthorized access, and damage to company property or guest belongings
• Maintain a daily security log detailing incidents, visitors, and shift handovers
• Collaborate closely with venue management, floor staff, floor managers, and local law enforcement when necessary

About you

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Security Guard, preferably in high-volume hospitality, nightlife, luxury venues, or hotels
• Valid local Security Guard License / Certificate (e.g., Gada Pratama if in Indonesia, or equivalent certification)
• First Aid / CPR certification is a strong plus
• High level of physical fitness, strength, and stamina; capable of standing, walking, and reacting quickly over long shifts (including night shifts)
• Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
• Strong observational skills and high attention to detail
• Professional attitude, trustworthy, punctual, and disciplined
• Ability to remain calm and composure under high-pressure situations
• Basic to conversational English skills (for interacting with international guests) and fluent local language skills
• Willingness to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays according to operational needs
