Security Guard

1. Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, school property, and premises by maintaining strict security procedures, monitoring entry and exit points, and preventing unauthorized access.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

A. Main Gate Security

• Monitor the main gate and regulate the entry and exit of students, staff, parents, visitors, and vendors.
• Verify the identity and purpose of visitors before allowing entry.
• Maintain the visitor register, vehicle register, and other security records.
• Issue visitor passes wherever required.
• Ensure that no unauthorized person enters the school premises.

B. Student Safety

• Ensure the safe arrival and departure of students.
• Monitor school gates during school opening and closing hours.
• Prevent students from leaving the school premises without proper authorization.
• Remain alert during recess, school events, and other important activities.
• Immediately report any suspicious activity or safety concern to the concerned authority.

C. Property and Campus Security

• Conduct regular rounds of the school campus as assigned.
• Check classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Protect school buildings, furniture, equipment, vehicles, and other assets from theft or damage.
• Monitor the movement of materials entering or leaving the school and verify the relevant authorization.
• Ensure that gates, doors, and designated restricted areas are secured as per school instructions.

D. Emergency Management

• Remain alert and respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, and security threats.
• Inform the Principal or Administrative Officer immediately about any emergency.
• Assist in evacuation procedures and emergency drills.
• Help emergency service personnel access the campus when required.
• Follow the school's emergency response procedures.

E. Discipline and Reporting

• Maintain discipline and behave politely with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
• Prevent unauthorized parking and manage vehicle movement at the gate.
• Record and report incidents, irregularities, and suspicious activities.
• Follow the duty roster, reporting time, uniform requirements, and instructions issued by the school management.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school security arrangements and sensitive information.

. General Requirements

• Must be punctual, alert, honest, disciplined, and responsible.
• Must maintain physical fitness appropriate to the duties assigned.
• Must communicate politely and follow instructions from authorized school officials.
• Previous security experience and relevant security training are preferred.
• Must comply with applicable verification, licensing, and security requirements.

. Code of Conduct

• Sleeping or leaving the assigned duty post without permission is strictly prohibited.
• Mobile phone use during duty must not interfere with security responsibilities.
• No unauthorized person shall be permitted inside the campus.
• Any negligence, misconduct, or breach of security must be reported and may result in disciplinary action as per school policy.

• Proper maintenance of visitor and security registers.
• Punctuality and regular attendance.
• Effective control of entry and exit points.
• Timely reporting of incidents and emergencies.
• Compliance with school security procedures.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
