We are currently seeking Full Time on Call Security Guard to support operations within the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Westwinds Office. This respected, high-responsibility role is essential in ensuring the safety, security, and operational continuity of CPS facilities.

About the Role

As a District Guard, you are a key frontline representative of Commissionaires. You will work closely with CPS staff to maintain safe, secure, and efficient operations, while supporting law enforcement in a professional and collaborative environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in structured environments, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and are committed to public safety.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Alberta Security License
• Valid First Aid certification
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Valid PAL (Possession Acquisition License)
• Residency in Canada for minimum 3 consecutive years (required for enhanced security clearance)
• Strong communication skills and professional, customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and situational awareness
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency)

Physical Requirements

• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols in all weather conditions
• Climb stairs, lift up to 30 lbs., and maintain focus on security systems
• Stand or sit for extended periods as required
• Respond promptly to radio and telephone communications

Working Conditions

• 4-on / 4-off schedule, 12-hour day & night shifts (06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00)
