Security Guard (Full Time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, and suspicious persons/activity.

• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms.

• Respond to emergencies and security incidents.

• Report writing of any and all incidents that require a response.

-Work closely with Police, EMS, Fire, and other agencies.

-Create and promote a safe environment for residents and employees.

-Enforce regulations as well as the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code of Canada with verbal warnings, written warnings, and/or arrests as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or related field is preferred

• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques

• Understanding of basic security procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

• Police Foundations Diploma (Asset but not required)

• Strong knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act

-Must possess the ability to complete use of force training to be issued handcuffs and a tactical baton through employer.

This contract starts in November 2026.

*6 month contract with the possibility to extend.*

Pay will start at $18.50 - $20 based on experience.
