Security Guard Full Time/Part Time/Casual

Job Summary

Apex Security is seeking professional, reliable, and responsible Security Guards to protect people, property, and client assets. Security Guards are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other security incidents.
• Control access to buildings and restricted areas.
• Conduct regular site inspections and security checks.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems where required.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Contact emergency services when required and follow established emergency procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert while on duty.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act (SSIA) Security Worker Licence.
• Protect & Proserve Certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous security experience is an asset but not always required.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
