Security Guard - Government Sites

Securitas Canada is looking for professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team to protect government assets. This posting is for multiple vacancies in the East York/Scarborough area. What You Will Do Pay rates range from $22.24 per hour, depending on the assignment, location, experience, licensing requirements, and site responsibilities.

• Monitor and patrol the assigned property
• Control access to the site in a gatehouse and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct regular patrols on foot and inspections
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, students, contractors, and members of the public
• Maintain a visible security presence
• Contact emergency services when required
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned

What We Need From You

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Ability to complete written reports accurately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Previous security experience is required.
• Sites with government contracts will require candidates to be eligible for a reliability clearance.
• Priority will be given to candidates with OPEN availability for days, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts and their own vehicle with a G2 or G licence.
