Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Champaign, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as directed, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established reporting procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required logs and reports, while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
