Security Guard (SIRA APPROVED)

Job Title: SIRA-Approved Security Guard

Regulatory Body: Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) – Dubai, UAE

Position Type: Full-time

Job Purpose:

To protect lives, property, physical assets, and information within assigned facilities in compliance with SIRA regulations and UAE security laws. The candidate maintains continuous vigilance, controls access points, responds to emergencies, and acts as a primary liaison between site management and local authorities (Dubai Police / Civil Defence).

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control & Visitor Management:Verify identity credentials, issue visitor passes, and log entry/exit details for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and contractors.

Refuse unauthorized entry and enforce site-specific entry/exit procedures.

Surveillance & Patrolling:

Conduct periodic foot or mobile patrols across designated zones to ensure perimeter integrity and spot safety hazards.

Monitor CCTV feeds, alarm panels, and access control hardware as directed.

Ensure emergency exits, fire doors, and stairwells remain clear and operational.

Incident Response & De-escalation:

Respond immediately to security alarms, fire alarms, medical emergencies, or trespassing incidents. Manage crowd movement and resolve interpersonal disputes using professional verbal de-escalation techniques.

Secure and preserve crime scenes until Dubai Police or authorized personnel arrive.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain the site Occurrence Book and log all shift activities, key handovers, and system incidents.

Draft incident reports detailing security breaches, property damage, or safety violations.

SIRA & Legal Compliance:

Carry and display a valid SIRA Guard Card at all times while on duty.

Adhere strictly to SIRA operational codes, legal boundaries regarding search and detention, and company standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensing: Active and valid SIRA Security Guard License / Card.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent credential.

Physical Fitness:

Must pass the mandatory SIRA physical fitness test (strength, endurance, and medical screening).

Background Check:

Clean criminal record certificate / Police Clearance Certificate issued in the UAE.

Experience:

1–2 years of security experience in the UAE (commercial, corporate, residential, or event security preferred).

Core Competencies & Skills

Languages:

Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with basic CCTV operations, radio communication protocols, and electronic visitor logging systems.

Soft Skills:

Calm under pressure, strong situational awareness, customer-service-oriented posture, and conflict resolution capabilities.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
