Security Guard/Crowd Controller

The Mall Security Guard ensures a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for all visitors, tenants, and staff. The guard monitors the premises, deters unlawful or disruptive behavior, operates surveillance systems, and acts first during medical or safety emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrolling & Presence: Regularly walk through interior corridors, retail common areas, loading docks, and exterior parking lots to discourage shoplifting, vandalism, and loitering.
• Surveillance Monitoring: Watch live feeds from CCTV and security cameras in the control room to track suspicious activities.
• Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points, staff-only zones, and delivery bays.
• Emergency Response: Manage crowds, assist during fire alarms or medical crises, administer basic first aid, and escort people to safety.
• Incident Management: Handle disturbances, de-escalate disputes between patrons, detain rule-violators or suspects when legally allowed, and coordinate with local police or fire departments.
• Customer Service: Answer visitor inquiries, give directions, and help locate lost children.
• Reporting: Write detailed, accurate logs and incident reports for every shift or security event.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background: Clean criminal record and pass background checks.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for long shifts, and respond quickly during physical emergencies.

Required Skills

• Communication & De-escalation: Strong interpersonal skills to calm angry or distressed individuals.
• Vigilance & Observation: Sharp attention to detail to spot irregularities or suspicious behavior.
• Composure Under Pressure: Ability to stay calm and make fast decisions during high-stress incidents.
• Technical Literacy: Basic familiarity with two-way radios, CCTV monitors, and alarm panels.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
