Summary/Objective
The Team Lead supports daily airport security operations by coordinating assigned officers, maintaining post coverage, and monitoring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and post orders. This is a working leadership position that includes performing assigned security duties.

Essential Functions

Confirm officers arrive on time and remain at their posts until properly relieved.

Coordinate breaks and relief coverage to maintain continuous staffing.

Assist with callouts and shift coverage, referring schedule changes and overtime requests to management for approval.

Conduct assigned post checks and monitor uniforms, professionalism, attentiveness, and adherence to post orders.

Provide daily briefings and communicate operational instructions.

Guide newly assigned officers and reinforce approved training procedures.

Promptly report incidents, attendance concerns, misconduct, and staffing shortages.

Maintain accurate shift notes, coverage records, and handover updates.

Support respectful teamwork and escalate employee concerns or complaints to management.

Perform security officer duties and provide relief coverage as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position leads the team of security agents.The Team Lead provides operational guidance and reports concerns. Hiring, disciplinary decisions, leave approval, schedule changes, and overtime authorization remain with designated management and HR.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional airport environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The position requires to work at the ramp or catering area (expose to rain and different temperatures).

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, seating and driving. The employee occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds or more.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time or part-time position. Shifts could change at any time.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1- 2 years’ experience in customer service at airport or similar entities.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug test
• Computer literacy in MS Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Maintain a relationship with both employees and clients
• Supervisors must have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles so they can efficiently perform his job.
• The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.

Security Clearance (if applicable)

Must be eligible for CBP seal and pass the criminal background check to obtain the airport ID.
