Security Manager Construction

About the role

PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia is seeking an experienced Security Manager Construction to join our team on a contract basis. Based in West Cikarang, West Java, this role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, security and protection of personnel, assets and facilities across our construction operations. As Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive security protocols that align with international standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a secure working environment whilst supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security policies, procedures and protocols tailored to construction site requirements
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across all project sites
• Supervise and manage security personnel, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance monitoring
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure rapid response capabilities
• Oversee access control systems, surveillance equipment and perimeter security measures
• Investigate security incidents, breaches and thefts, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
• Conduct security awareness training and inductions for all site personnel
• Monitor compliance with security regulations, local laws and company standards
• Prepare detailed security reports and maintain comprehensive documentation of all security-related activities
• Manage security budgets and procurement of security equipment and systems
• Liaise with project management teams to integrate security requirements into construction planning and execution

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience in security management, with at least 3 years in the construction industry
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing security strategies for large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian security regulations, labour laws and health and safety requirements
• Formal qualification in security management or related field (diploma or certification in security, occupational health and safety preferred)
• Experience managing security teams and personnel across multiple sites
• Proficiency in security systems, CCTV monitoring, access control and alarm systems
• Excellent incident investigation and report-writing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
• Physical ability to conduct regular site inspections and walk-throughs
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential
• Valid security clearance or ability to obtain clearance as required
