Security Officer Ad-hoc - Edinburgh

Job Summary
Apardion are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team on Ad-Hoc basis to support numerous sites across Edinburgh.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Working pattern is variable, with both nightshift and dayshift available.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance of the premises to detect any suspicious activities.
• Perform routine patrols of the property to ensure a safe environment for all staff and visitors.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities and any incidents that occur during shifts.
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
