Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure physical security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, including building interiors, exteriors, and restricted areas to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical incidents.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on new hires or vendors as part of the screening process to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or disturbances professionally while ensuring safety for all parties involved.
• Operate specialized security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when needed.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting during patrols or when assisting in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external intervention.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in physical security roles or military service with knowledge of law enforcement procedures is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held.
• Familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control systems is essential.
• Strong understanding of incident report writing standards and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during patrols or incident management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally and de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Knowledge of fire safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and compliance with security regulations is required.
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, perform patrols across large areas, and respond swiftly in emergencies.
