Duties

• Conduct thorough patrols of the facility, including designated security zones and perimeter areas, to identify potential security risks or breaches.
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
• Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical emergencies.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on new staff or vendors as part of the onboarding or vetting process to ensure compliance with security policies.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining professionalism and ensuring safety for all parties involved.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of physical security practices, surveillance technology, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, Taser use, firearm handling (if applicable), and fire safety are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive incident reports clearly and accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to handle conflict de-escalation effectively while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols that include standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks such as heavy lifting or physical security checks.
• Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and best practices in maintaining a safe environment.
