Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to uphold safety and security standards across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your energetic presence and keen attention to detail will help maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere while responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the property and identify potential security threats.
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by patrolling the premises, inspecting for suspicious activity, and deterring theft or vandalism.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies by coordinating with emergency services and executing appropriate first aid procedures when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Perform routine inspections of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, fences, and alarm systems to ensure operational integrity.
• Assist in emergency evacuation procedures and provide first aid support in case of injuries or medical emergencies.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to safeguard assets and reduce theft risks.
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during emergencies while providing first aid if needed.
• Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and coordinating with emergency responders.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods as required.
• Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Pay: £2,739.63-£19,953.82 per month
