Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through comprehensive surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures. Your role will involve monitoring security systems, performing patrols, managing incident reports, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance and physical inspections to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations by implementing emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for future reference and investigations
• Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security standards
• Use law enforcement techniques when necessary to handle conflicts de-escalation and conflict management situations effectively
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where permitted), CCTV cameras, and other surveillance tools to monitor premises continuously

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of physical security practices, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling techniques
• Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety; additional certifications such as Taser or firearm handling are advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and perform effective conflict de-escalation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand or walk for extended periods during patrols
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential
• Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations
