Security Officer

We're looking for a full time Security Officer who will be able to join our team, working on weekdays and weekends from 7am till 7pm.

About the role

A security role involving regular patrols of premises, monitoring CCTV and access control systems, and ensuring a strong and positive security presence across the complex. You will address potential security and safety risks, work with other departments to support day-to-day operations, assist with security queries, and act as building warden during fire alarms or evacuations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular patrols of the premises
• Ensure a strong and positive presence is visible across the complex
• Address potential security and safety risks as required
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the complex
• Assist with queries regarding security issues and access requirements
• Observe all Health Safety procedures
• Assist in calling emergency services where required in an emergency
• Act as building warden in the event of a fire alarm or evacuation

About you

• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays
• Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Hold a current Certificate of Acceptance (CoA)
• Physically fit and able to undertake patrols and stand for prolonged periods
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good spoken and written communication
• Reliable and punctual
