Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are upheld
• Conduct regular surveillance patrols of the facility to deter theft and maintain security presence
• Implement loss prevention measures by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
• Respond swiftly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of surveillance activities, incidents, and access control records
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Collaborate with emergency responders during incidents to ensure swift resolution and safety compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Strong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious behavior or potential threats
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is highly desirable
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively during emergencies or stressful situations
• Valid first aid certification or willingness to obtain one upon hiring
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
• Physical ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods as required

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
