Security Officer

Duties

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff
• Monitor the premises to prevent and detect any signs of disturbance or unruly behavior
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse entry to individuals who are underage or intoxicated
• Handle difficult situations calmly and professionally, using verbal de-escalation techniques when necessary
• Escort unruly patrons off the premises, if needed, in a respectful manner
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address any criminal activity or disturbances
• Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to ensure the safety of all individuals present
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may occur during shifts
• Enforce establishment policies and procedures to maintain order and compliance with local regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bouncer or in a similar security role
• Knowledge of surveillance techniques and familiarity with CCTV systems
• Strong physical presence and ability to handle confrontational situations calmly and assertively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other security personnel
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and ability to identify potential risks or threats
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations regarding alcohol service and crowd control

Please note that this position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ability to pass a background check is also required.

Pay: $17.42-$19.00 per hour
