Lake Norman Christian School is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, and families while supporting the mission of providing a Christ-centered education.

Responsibilities

• Provide general campus security, monitoring school buildings and grounds to ensure safety.
• Assist with morning and afternoon carline traffic, maintaining order and safety for students, staff, and families.
• Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized individuals are on campus.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security or safety incidents.
• Partner with school administration to implement and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain positive, professional, and Christ-like interactions with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
• Serve as a role model by upholding the school’s values and demonstrating Christian character in all situations.

Qualifications

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission and values of Lake Norman Christian School.
• Must hold (or be eligible to obtain) North Carolina Unarmed Security Guard Registration through the NC Department of Public Safety – Private Protective Services Board. Preference given to candidates with North Carolina Armed Security Guard Registration and valid Firearms Permit (where applicable).
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or school/campus security preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations.

Schedule

• Regular school hours with emphasis on morning (drop-off) and afternoon (pickup) carline support.
• Occasional evening/weekend coverage for school events may be required.

Compensation

• Competitive pay, commensurate with experience and certifications.
