Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. Duties

• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure physical security across all areas of the facility.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including building interiors, perimeters, parking lots, and other critical zones to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), perform first aid and CPR as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future review.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of compliance with security regulations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism during tense situations; utilize Taser or firearm handling skills if required by protocol.

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles within corporate, military, law enforcement, or related environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in CCTV surveillance systems, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of manual handling techniques and heavy lifting to manage equipment or assist in emergency situations safely.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict management is preferred; additional training in fire safety or law enforcement procedures is advantageous.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Taser devices and access control systems enhances your ability to respond effectively to various scenarios.
• Strong understanding of compliance with security regulations and loss prevention strategies ensures adherence to legal standards and organizational policies.
