  • Use effective conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership, local law enforcement, emergency responders, and other agencies during investigations or emergency situations.
  • Assist with security-related equipment, supplies, and manual handling tasks when necessary.
  • Uphold all hotel policies, safety procedures, security standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests, associates, and visitors while maintaining a strong security presence.

Qualifications

  • Previous security, hotel security, law enforcement, military, or related experience preferred.
  • A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and comprehensive incident reports.
  • Knowledge of surveillance technology, access control systems, emergency response procedures, and basic security practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive when managing challenging or tense situations.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and follow established safety and security procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete required documentation.
  • Current first aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred; additional security-related training is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk moderate distances, and safely perform manual handling tasks as needed.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evening and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
