Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and detect any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Implement loss prevention measures by observing customer and employee conduct and intervening when necessary to prevent theft or damage.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when needed and coordinating with emergency responders.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and security checks through shift reports and logs.
• Enforce access control protocols by verifying identification and authorizations for visitors, contractors, and staff.
• Educate staff and visitors on safety procedures and security policies to foster a culture of awareness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance technology is highly desirable.
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on surroundings.
• Certification or training in first aid or emergency response is a plus.
• Strong observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying potential threats or irregularities.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively report incidents and interact with team members and visitors.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while making quick decisions.
