Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, guests, and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through physical security measures, surveillance, and emergency response procedures. Your dedication to security protocols and customer service will ensure our venue remains a secure and welcoming space for all visitors.

Responsible for the safety and security of the employees, customers, assets and facilities. Communicates potential problems and assists employees and guests in emergencies. Responsible for any gaming floor related security function. Responds to emergency life safety concerns. Controls and diffuses potential conflicts. Verifies transactions on the gaming floor. Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties

• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the casino floor, parking areas, and surrounding property.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including gaming areas, entrances, exits, and restricted zones to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Control access points using access control systems, verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by executing established procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety protocols.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities observed during shifts.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of compliance with security regulations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or unruly guests professionally while maintaining a positive environment.

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles within hospitality, law enforcement, military service or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation and access control systems.
• Training in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for safety or operational needs.
• Familiarity with incident report writing and loss prevention strategies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Understanding of physical security practices including patrolling routines and compliance with security regulations.

PHYSICAL – Must be in good physical condition. Essential functions require ability to provide assistance to Guests and fellow employees, which will include lifting or restraining, and ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift and reach continuously during the workday. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 250 lbs. with assistance.

MENTAL -- Ability to make quick decisions. Ability to follow established policies and procedures and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
