Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform courtesy patrol duties throughout the assigned property or community.
• Patrol all designated areas of the property approximately every 30–60 minutes, depending on post requirements.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property.
• Help deter theft, vandalism, disturbances, trespassing, property damage, and other unauthorized activity.
• Patrol common and public areas for unsafe conditions, fire hazards, excessive noise, overcrowding, unauthorized gatherings, and other potential concerns.
• Check designated doors, gates, entrances, amenity areas, parking areas, and other assigned locations for signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor and, when required by the assigned post, authorize the entrance and departure of visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Verify that visitors and vendors follow applicable property procedures and escort requirements.
• Communicate openly and professionally with supervisors, management, residents, guests, vendors, and client representatives.
• Immediately report emergencies, unusual activity, safety concerns, property damage, or serious incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete accurate patrol reports, incident reports, and daily activity reports.
• Document accidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, fire or safety hazards, policy violations, and other patrol-related matters.
• Begin documenting activity at the start of each shift and maintain accurate reports throughout the shift.
• Follow all company policies, post orders, property rules, and established security procedures.
• Provide assistance to team members when needed and work cooperatively with supervisors and other officers.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
• Remain alert, attentive, and actively engaged throughout the entire scheduled shift.
