The Role

We are seeking professional, polished and service-oriented Security Officers to join the team at a well-established private educational institution.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys a professional, structured environment and takes pride in combining security with exceptional customer service.

This role has a strong concierge-style focus, with you acting as a key point of contact for students, parents, visitors, staff and contractors. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-managed school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site access, including visitor identification, permits and authorised entry
• Welcome and assist visitors, students, staff, and contractors
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols
• Monitor locks, gates, alarms, CCTV and other security systems
• Respond to security incidents, alarms and safety concerns
• Assist school personnel and emergency services when required
• Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident reports
• Liaise professionally with school staff, contractors and other stakeholders
• Follow site security procedures and maintain a high standard of personal presentation

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Able to maintain a professional and approachable appearance
• Confident communicating with people of all ages and backgrounds
• Customer-focused while maintaining appropriate security boundaries
• Reliable, observant, and able to follow process

Requirements of the position

• Hold current Victorian Security licence
• Hold current working with children check
• Current First Aid certificate
• Full working rights in Australia
