Security Officer

You will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, managing access control, and responding effectively to emergencies. Your dedication will help maintain the integrity of our operations while providing exceptional customer service to staff and visitors alike.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activities and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
• Perform background checks on new hires or visitors as part of security clearance procedures
• Execute emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, fire safety protocols, and evacuation plans
• Utilize security tools such as Taser, firearm handling (where permitted), and conflict de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively
• Conduct physical security tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and maintaining secure perimeters through patrolling and physical inspections
• Ensure compliance with all security regulations and company policies while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement environments preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, and loss prevention techniques
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and incident report writing
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in surveillance monitoring and physical inspections
• Valid licenses or certifications related to security operations (where applicable)

Pay: $27.21 - $34.36 per hour
