Schedule: Friday - Sunday | 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM

About The Position Citadel Security USA is hiring a dependable Fire Watch Security Officer to help maintain safe conditions and provide consistent security coverage in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role requires an alert, responsible individual who can follow detailed instructions, recognize potential hazards, and communicate concerns promptly.

In addition to fire watch responsibilities, the position may involve supporting scheduled transport activities, monitoring movement through assigned areas, and completing routine security documentation. Paid on-the-job training and clear post instructions are provided to help officers understand their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fire Watch Duties: Remain attentive to assigned areas, watch for visible signs of fire or smoke, identify potential hazards, and promptly report conditions that could create a safety risk.
• Maintain a Security Presence: Monitor designated areas and remain observant for unauthorized activity, unusual conditions, or potential safety concerns.
• Support Scheduled Transport: Assist with assigned transport-related activities and help maintain orderly movement in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor Entry and Exit Activity: Observe access points and assist with the movement of authorized individuals while maintaining a respectful, professional approach.
• Report Emergencies Promptly: Notify the appropriate supervisor, dispatch contact, or emergency responder when fire, smoke, unsafe conditions, or other urgent concerns arise.
• Complete Required Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, including relevant observations, actions taken, and notifications made.
• Communicate Effectively: Provide timely updates to dispatch and designated contacts regarding operational concerns or changes in conditions.
• Operate Vehicles Safely: Follow company driving procedures when vehicle use is required and exercise caution when traveling between assigned locations.
• Follow Assignment Instructions: Comply with company policies, fire watch procedures, post orders, and applicable safety requirements.
• Maintain Professional Standards: Demonstrate reliability, sound judgment, and appropriate conduct throughout every assigned shift.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to drive longer distances when required.
• Ability to successfully complete applicable background and drug screening.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled 12-hour shifts.
• Strong observation skills and the ability to recognize and report hazards.
• Clear verbal communication and the ability to complete written reports.
• Ability to remain alert, follow established procedures, and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently while communicating with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous fire watch, security, safety monitoring, or related experience.
• Familiarity with fire prevention awareness, hazard recognition, and emergency reporting procedures.
• Experience maintaining activity logs or incident documentation.
• Ability to communicate calmly and accurately during unexpected situations.
