Security Officer

Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of plant premises, employees, contractual workmen, visitors, materials, and company assets through effective security operations, access control, surveillance, and emergency response in a 247 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Operations: Supervise security guards and shift deployment to ensure effective security coverage across all shifts, including night shifts.
2. Access Control: Monitor entry and exit of employees, contractual workmen, visitors, and vehicles; ensure proper gate passes and authorization.
3. Material Movement: Verify material inward and outward movements, gate passes, challans, and other relevant documents in coordination with concerned departments.
4. Manpower Management: Monitor attendance, discipline, uniform, grooming, and performance of security personnel and security contractors.
5. CCTV Surveillance: Ensure proper functioning of CCTV cameras, monitor surveillance footage, maintain records, and coordinate with the concerned team for timely rectification of faults.
6. Incident Management: Handle theft, unauthorized access, disputes, misconduct, and other security incidents; investigate and submit incident reports to management.
7. Emergency Response: Coordinate during fire, accidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations; support evacuation and emergency drills.
8. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable security-related statutory requirements, company policies, and procedures for contract security personnel.
9. Records & Documentation: Maintain visitor registers, vehicle registers, material movement records, incident reports, shift handover records, and other security documentation.
10. Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with HR, Administration, EHS, Stores, and Production departments to resolve security-related issues and submit periodic reports to management.
