Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to uphold the safety and security of our premises. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your keen observation skills and quick response capabilities will help prevent incidents and protect our assets. Duties

• Manage access control systems to authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring proper identification and clearance.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including building interiors, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and sensitive zones to identify potential security threats or hazards.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across key areas and respond promptly to suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with accuracy and clarity.
• Perform background checks on new hires or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing established procedures such as fire drills, medical emergencies (First Aid/CPR), or evacuations.
• Operate emergency response tools including AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Taser devices, and fire extinguishers while maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, and physical security measures.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict de-escalation techniques are preferred.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or incident management.
• Strong communication skills for incident report writing, conflict management, and customer service interactions.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and conduct loss prevention activities effectively.

Pay: $40.55 - $50.57 per hour
