Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in Studio City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an educational location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and communicating professionally with students, staff, and guests. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and support a positive campus experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or families while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct guests according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports for incidents, observations, and access-control activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
