Fortitude Protective Services is recruiting experienced, professional and confident Security Officers to join our licensed venue security team across Sydney. We have opportunities available at busy pubs, nightclubs, bars and other licensed entertainment venues.

We are looking for officers who understand the fast-paced nature of nightlife security and can maintain a safe, controlled and welcoming environment for patrons, venue staff and management.

The ideal candidates will have a strong professional presence, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage difficult situations calmly and confidently. Experience in crowd control and licensed venue security is highly regarded.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Licensed Venue Security Officer, you will help manage venue entry, monitor patron behaviour, maintain crowd control and ensure the safety of everyone on the premises.

You'll be working in dynamic nightlife environments where sound judgement, situational awareness and effective conflict resolution are essential.

Friday and Saturday night availability is essential for these positions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing venue entry, checking identification and verifying patron eligibility
• Controlling entry queues and maintaining order at doors and entry points
• Monitoring crowd behaviour across pubs, clubs, bars and entertainment venues
• Identifying potential conflicts and intervening early to prevent escalation
• Managing intoxicated, disruptive or aggressive patrons professionally and in accordance with procedures
• Applying venue entry policies, dress codes and conditions of entry consistently
• Conducting regular patrols of indoor areas, outdoor spaces and designated smoking areas
• Supporting venue management and staff with security-related matters
• Responding to incidents, emergencies and evacuation procedures when required
• Maintaining a visible security presence throughout the venue
• Completing accurate incident reports and shift documentation
• Helping ensure the venue operates safely and in accordance with applicable licensing requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Current NSW Security Licence – Mandatory
• Current First Aid Certificate – Mandatory
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate – Mandatory
• Previous experience in pubs, nightclubs, bars, crowd control or licensed venue security
• Strong communication, situational awareness and conflict resolution skills
• Confidence managing difficult patrons and high-pressure situations
• Professional presentation and a firm but respectful approach
• Ability to work effectively with venue managers, staff and fellow security officers
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented
• Availability to work Friday and Saturday nights – Mandatory

Candidates with established licensed venue or crowd control experience will be highly regarded.
