Part-Time Security Guard – Coco Beach Sports Bar & Grill

Executive Protection Security is seeking dependable, professional Part-Time Security Guards to provide security coverage at Coco Beach Sports Bar & Grill.

This position is primarily focused on maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly exterior environment. Most of the shift will involve parking lot patrols, monitoring vehicles and individuals on the property, addressing loitering, and maintaining a visible security presence. Guards may also periodically enter the establishment to monitor crowd conditions and assist with security-related concerns.

Schedule

Approximately 18–22 hours per week, depending on assigned shifts and coverage needs.

Current security hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–12:00 AM
• Friday–Saturday: 8:00 PM–2:00 AM
• Sunday: 8:00 PM–12:00 AM

Additional hours may occasionally be available for call-outs, special events, or coverage at other locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the parking lot and exterior areas.
• Maintain a visible security presence to discourage theft, disturbances, vandalism, and unwanted activity.
• Identify and address individuals or vehicles loitering on the property.
• Professionally ask unauthorized individuals to leave the premises when necessary.
• Monitor parked vehicles and report suspicious activity.
• Periodically enter the restaurant/bar to observe crowd conditions and identify potential security concerns.
• Assist management with maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Use verbal communication and de-escalation techniques when dealing with disruptive or uncooperative individuals.
• Remove or dispose of abandoned cups, bottles, trash, and other minor debris encountered during patrols to help keep the property presentable and safe.
• Document and report significant incidents, disturbances, property damage, or unusual activity.
• Immediately notify management or emergency services when a situation requires additional assistance.
• Follow all company procedures, post orders, and site-specific instructions.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Must be reliable and able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong situational awareness and observational skills.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers, employees, management, and members of the public.
• Comfortable addressing loitering, unauthorized vehicles, and disruptive individuals.
• Ability to remain calm and use good judgment during confrontational situations.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and patrol outdoor areas throughout the shift.
• Must be willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Prior security experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

We are looking for guards who are observant, dependable, and capable of handling routine security issues without unnecessarily escalating situations. This is a hands-on position that requires regular patrols and active involvement in keeping the property safe, orderly, and presentable.

The ideal candidate understands that effective security is not just standing in one location—it involves staying aware of the property, identifying potential problems early, communicating professionally, and taking appropriate action when needed.
