As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen personnel and property, and help identify security-related concerns. You will use X-ray screening equipment and computer systems, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and shipment-related activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badging is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
