This position REQUIRES possession of a state issued Guard Card (with Level 3 requirements) & prior Military or Law Enforcement experience.

Position Overview: The Security Officer provides on-site security services for clients. All duties must be performed in accordance with client and company policies and standard operating procedures. The Security Officer (Protective detail) (Armed Level III) is responsible for maintaining a secure, safe, and orderly environment. To provide professional protective security services for the assigned Judges, with emphasis on preventive security, threat assessment, rapid response, and continuity of court operations. This role involves screening visitors, monitoring security systems, patrolling premises, and responding swiftly to emergencies or security breaches. The officer will work closely with law enforcement agencies, court personnel, and visitors to uphold safety protocols, enforce court policies, and ensure the integrity of court operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security and safeguard court facilities, personnel, visitors, and property.
• Conduct security screenings of individuals entering court premises using metal detectors, pat-downs, and bag checks.
• Patrol court areas regularly to identify, prevent, and respond to security threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond effectively to emergencies, disturbances, or security incidents in compliance with protocols.
• Enforce court rules and policies to ensure a secure and respectful environment.
• Monitor security systems such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, daily activities, and security breaches.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and court officials as necessary.
• Assist visitors and staff with directions or procedural questions in a courteous manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law (Level 3)
• 10-year experience in the security industry preferred
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations
• Knowledgeable in general security industry standards and methods preferred
• Demonstration of ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive can-do attitude

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Current Guard Card Certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• OC spray, handcuff, baton, and CPR (preferred)

• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to provide documentation showing authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
