VACANCY: SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICER

Our client, a reputable school located along Ago Palace Way, Lagos, is seeking a vigilant, disciplined, and trustworthy Security Officer to ensure the safety of pupils, staff, visitors, and school property.

Location: Ago Palace Way, Lagos
Salary: ₦50,000 – ₦60,000 monthly
Minimum Qualification: SSCE

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the school premises.
• Ensure that pupils, staff, parents, and visitors comply with school security procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and unusual incidents.
• Patrol the school premises to identify and prevent security risks.
• Monitor school gates and ensure pupils leave only through authorised arrangements.
• Prevent unauthorised access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and report suspicious activities to management.
• Support safe movement of pupils during arrival, dismissal, and school activities.
• Maintain order at the school entrance and enforce security rules professionally.
• Ensure that gates, doors, and other designated security points are properly secured.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE.
• Must have previous work experience as a School Security Officer.
• Good knowledge of basic security procedures and access control.
• Must be alert, physically fit, disciplined, honest, and trustworthy.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact respectfully with children, parents, and staff.
• Good observation skills and the ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Must be punctual, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
• Relevant security training or certification is an advantage.
• Must reside in or around Ago Palace Way, Lagos, or be able to commute conveniently.
• Must be available to resume immediately.
