Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, office areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity documentation, and communicate professionally with client representatives, employees, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
