Security Operations Center Analyst

About the Role

You will work as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst. As a SOC Analyst, you will monitor and investigate security alerts to identify potential threats.

You will work with security information and systems, following established security policies and procedures. When potential security issues are identified, you will follow the relevant processes.

The position is strictly on-site. As the SOC operates 24/7, the role requires rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

· Monitor security alerts across the SIEM and other security monitoring platforms

· Perform initial analysis of security alerts to determine their nature, actual severity, and potential impact

· Follow established SOC procedures, playbooks and security policies to ensure appropriate handling

· Support continuous improvement of SOC operations by reporting recurring alerts, implementation issues, and other relevant observations to senior analysts

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

· Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, common network protocols, authentication, and hashing)

· Basic understanding of Active Directory and Windows security concepts

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

· Proficient in English and Greek

· Previous experience in Cybersecurity would be considered a plus

· Basic knowledge of security tools (e.g. Wireshark) and query languages (e.g. SQL) would be considered a plus
