Security Operations Center Analyst

SOC Analyst | Cyber Threat Detection & Incident Response

A leading organization is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst to join its cybersecurity operations team and take an active role in identifying, investigating, and responding to security threats.

This position is ideal for a cybersecurity professional with hands-on experience in security monitoring, threat analysis, and incident investigation, who enjoys working in a technically challenging environment and solving complex security issues.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, detect, and investigate cybersecurity threats and suspicious activity
• Analyze security alerts, logs, and events using SIEM and other security monitoring tools
• Investigate security incidents, identify potential attack patterns, and assess their impact
• Perform initial incident triage, analysis, escalation, and response coordination
• Analyze network traffic, endpoint activity, and system logs to identify indicators of compromise
• Work with security teams to improve detection capabilities and incident response processes
• Investigate emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and suspicious behaviors
• Document security incidents, investigation findings, and recommended remediation actions
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to strengthen organizational security

What We're Looking For

• 1.5–2 years of hands-on experience in a SOC, Cyber Defense, or Security Operations environment
• Practical experience investigating security alerts and cybersecurity incidents
• Hands-on experience working with SIEM platforms and analyzing security logs
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and common network protocols
• Knowledge of cyberattack techniques, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and security monitoring principles
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
• Strong analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues independently and collaborate with security teams

Advantages

• Experience in threat hunting or advanced security investigations
• Familiarity with EDR/XDR platforms
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell
• Experience investigating network-based threats or analyzing malicious activity
