Mission description

Do you want to help strengthen the security operations of the future? We are looking for a consultant to map existing security capabilities and prepare a concrete development plan to strengthen threat detection, log analysis and handling of IT security incidents over the next 2–3 years.

The assignment involves defining a target state and prioritizing improvement actions based on the current threat landscape, existing tools, and available expertise. The plan should also take into account the organization's cloud-based strategy and ongoing migration from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform.

Areas of responsibility

• Map current capabilities within security monitoring, log analysis and handling of ICT incidents.
• Define the desired target state for the next 2–3 years, based on the threat landscape, existing tools, available expertise, and the business's security needs.
• Prepare a prioritized roadmap with estimates for investment and operating costs, staffing needs, and dependencies.
• Develop a plan for skills development of existing employees.
• Consider which security capabilities should be maintained internally, and which can be acquired externally.
• Clarify roles and responsibilities between the security center, other security functions, and IT operations and development teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to management.
• Deliver a written report in Word format that documents the survey, target condition, and recommended measures.

Claim

• Technical education at bachelor's or master's level.
• Experience in establishing or acquiring capabilities for detection, analysis and handling of ICT security incidents.
• Expertise in cloud-based solutions.
• Expertise in competency planning and development planning.
• Expertise in clarifying roles and responsibilities across security and IT teams.
• Norwegian at native level, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and effectively, and quickly understand customer needs and framework conditions.
• CV in Norwegian.
