Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer

We are looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer to establish and operate XAPT's SOC function. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting our systems, applications, identities, and data by monitoring security threats, responding to incidents, and driving security best practices across the organization.

As our dedicated SOC Engineer, you will work closely with Infrastructure, Development, and Business teams to continuously strengthen our security posture while supporting secure growth, cloud adoption, and emerging technologies such as AI.

Your main responsibilities will be…

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats, security alerts, malware incidents, and compromised accounts
• Analyze security logs and suspicious activities across endpoints, applications, and cloud environments
• Support secure Identity and Access Management processes, including investigations of unusual sign-in activity and access violations
• Review privileged access rights and help enforce the principle of least privilege
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities to reduce security risks
• Ensure systems, configurations, and access controls comply with security policies and standards
• Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing and improvement initiatives
• Work with development teams to assess the security of developer environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes
• Evaluate AI solutions and AI agents from a security, compliance, and data protection perspective

What we expect from you...

• Experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, IT security, or a related field
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management and privileged access concepts
• Understanding of security monitoring, logging, and endpoint protection technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance, and governance practices
• Good command of English
