Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
Location: Glasgow, Paisley & surrounding areas, with travel to client sites
Reports to: Operations Manager / Company Director
Schedule: Flexible rota including weekdays, evenings and weekends based on operational requirements
Additional Hours: Opportunities available across door supervision, events and other CCO contracts

Role Overview

CCO Security Services is looking to recruit a reliable, experienced and professional Security Operations Supervisor to support our growing operations.

This is a hands-on role combining operational supervision with frontline security duties. The successful candidate will work approximately a minimum 37.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled around the needs of the business and our clients.

The Operations Supervisor will act as an important link between our frontline security staff and the Operations Management team, helping ensure sites are properly staffed, standards are maintained and any operational issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline security cover across CCO contracts as required.
  • Supervise security officers and Door Supervisors across multiple sites.
  • Conduct regular site visits, spot checks and staff welfare checks.
  • Ensure staff are punctual, correctly uniformed and maintaining CCO standards.
  • Support Operations Management with rotas, shift coverage and last-minute call-offs.
  • Assist with staff deployment across sites and events.
  • Carry out site inductions and brief security personnel on Assignment Instructions and client requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with Operations Management.
  • Act as a point of contact for security staff while on duty.
  • Deal with minor staff or operational issues and escalate more serious matters to management.
  • Monitor staff performance and report concerns or positive performance.
  • Check timesheets, occurrence books, patrol records, incident reports and other site documentation.
  • Assist with incident management and emergency situations.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, venue managers, contractors and members of the public.
  • Support the mobilisation of new sites and contracts.
  • Assist with the delivery and collection of radios, uniforms and other operational equipment where required.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, company policies and site procedures are followed.
  • Provide clear handovers and operational reports to management.

Working Hours & Flexibility

The position is based on an average of 37.5 hours per week and will include weekend working.

Security is a 24/7 operation, so the successful candidate must be flexible and prepared to work according to client contracts and the operational needs of the business. This may include days, evenings and occasional night shifts.

There will also be opportunities to work additional shifts, including Door Supervisor work, events, licensed venues and other CCO Security Services contracts. Any additional hours will be subject to availability and operational requirements.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Previous experience within the security industry
  • Supervisory or team-leader experience preferred
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to deal confidently with clients and security personnel
  • Good understanding of incident reporting and security procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
  • Good timekeeping and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the wider Operations team
  • Flexibility to work weekends and varying shift patterns

What We're Looking For

This position would suit someone looking to progress beyond frontline security and develop their career within security operations and management.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example and isn't afraid to get involved operationally when required. You'll be expected to support the team rather than simply supervise from a distance.

As CCO continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the right person to take on additional responsibility and progress within the Operations Management structure.

Pay: £15.50 per hour
