Security Service Technician

My client is an established electronic security company with a strong presence across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure projects.
 
They are looking for 2 experienced Security Service Technicians to join their service team. This is a hands-on role servicing existing security contracts, attending reactive breakdowns and completing planned preventative maintenance, with the opportunity to also assist with project work when required.
 
The Role
 
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:  

• Attending reactive service calls and fault finding
• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance
• Servicing and maintaining electronic security systems
• Responding to priority breakdowns and customer requirements
• Pre-programming and commissioning security devices and systems
• Assisting with cabling and project works when required
• Completing service documentation, job updates and maintenance records
• Maintaining vehicle stock, tools and equipment
• Participating in an after-hours call-out roster as required

About You
 
You will be an experienced security technician who enjoys the variety that comes with service work and is comfortable dealing directly with customers.
 
Ideally, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in electronic security
• Current Security Installers Licence
• Cabling Licence with relevant endorsements
• Experience servicing and fault finding electronic security systems
• Good understanding of security cabling and installation practices
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
• White Card
• EWP ticket
• First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable

• Gallagher experience or registration
• Experience with Milestone or other VMS platforms
• Electrical qualification or licence

Experience with a range of access control, CCTV and integrated security systems
