Security Shift Duty Officer

About the role

The Shift Duty Officer is responsible for assisting in the continuous monitoring, coordination, documentation, and escalation of security operational concerns across all CGroup security accounts during the assigned shift. The position serves as an on-duty operations monitoring and coordination officer who maintains situational awareness of security activities across client accounts, receives and validates operational concerns, coordinates with the appropriate security operations personnel or account representatives, and promptly escalates significant concerns to the Duty Command Center Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the overall security situation and operational status of all assigned CGroup security accounts during the shift
• Maintain awareness of significant incidents, security concerns, manpower issues, client concerns, emergencies, and other operational developments across accounts
• Monitor communications from security accounts, field personnel, Account Managers, Area Supervisors, Command Center personnel, and other authorized sources
• Receive and record security-related concerns requiring coordination or escalation
• Assist in coordinating responses to security operational concerns raised by clients, security personnel, Account Managers, Area Supervisors, or other authorized personnel
• Monitor reported security incidents, emergencies, alarms, accidents, disturbances, security breaches, and other unusual occurrences across all accounts
• Escalate serious or critical incidents immediately to the Duty Command Center Manager
• Maintain an accurate Shift Duty Log / Command Center Operations Log and record significant incidents, operational concerns, communications, instructions, actions taken, and pending matters
• Prepare a comprehensive endorsement to the incoming Shift Duty Officer before completing the assigned shift, including significant incidents, active or unresolved security concerns, client complaints, manpower-related concerns, and other matters requiring follow-up
• Maintain confidentiality of security-related information, client information, incident reports, and operational communications

About you

• Meets the applicable licensing, eligibility, and regulatory requirements for the position
• Preferably possesses a valid License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP) or other credential appropriate to the position and applicable regulations
• Relevant security operations experience is preferred
• Experience in a Command Center, Security Operations Center, control room, security operations, or similar environment is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in security operations, incident reporting, emergency response, communication protocols, and escalation procedures
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills
• Able to remain calm and organized during emergencies and high-pressure situations
• Computer literate and capable of using communication, monitoring, reporting, and documentation systems
• Willing to work on rotating morning, mid, and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
