Security Specialist (Clark)

About the role

As a Security Specialist (Clark), you will play a key role in supporting the company's Safety Management System (SMS) by ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations, promoting safety awareness, and identifying risks across airport operations and facilities. This role contributes directly to maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive safety culture within 1Aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures that 1Aviation's Mission, Vision and Values are achieved
• Complies with applicable regulations and standards of 1Aviation
• Gathers, collects and collates security related reports and information that is vital in the ground operation for evaluation, analysis and appropriate action
• Responds to incident / accident requiring investigative works, ensuring collection of evidence, facts and information is performed to determine root cause and submission of reports within the specified timeline
• Programs investigative activities, monitors and evaluates challenges and secures appropriate resources to complete programmed task to include coordination with HR team relative to employees considered for employment that needs to undergo background investigation
• Performs background checks and ensures that employees have signed consent for such purpose as part of the compliance with the law and regulatory requirement for airport pass processing
• Conducts monitoring at CIL (Check-In Counter) boarding gates, build up, breakdown areas, cargo and catering facilities to detect, identify security related infractions pertaining to non-compliance with procedures relating to check/hold baggage, cargo, mail and catering stores security
• Collates reports pertaining to baggage / cargo (damage, offloaded, left behind, misrouted, missing, pilfered) for evaluation and analysis
• Performs liaising activities with police and regulatory authorities and other entities with regard to 1Aviation security operational requirement as necessary
• Conducts security inspection and test to ensure that 1Aviation contracted security personnel were able to implement security measures in accordance with the regulation and standards, at their assigned ground operational areas / facilities

About you

• College Graduate preferably a holder of BS in Criminology
• Airline/airport operations experience preferred
• Background on Security aspect of airport/airline industry / Groundhandling operations
• Can drive a 4-wheel vehicle; Professional Driver's license is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
• Proactive, dynamic, and flexible approach to work
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
