Security Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Specialist to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role is critical in preventing loss, responding to emergencies, and upholding safety protocols across our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or unauthorized access
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR
• Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials of visitors and employees
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or vandalism
• Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved
• Follow established security protocols and procedures at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in security or related fields is preferred
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies
• Effective communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with team members
• Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail
