Security Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to join Southern Arms Corporation in a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This is a strategic leadership role within our security services operations, where you will oversee daily security activities, manage security personnel, and ensure the highest standards of safety and protection across our facilities. The Security Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment, implementing security protocols, and serving as a key liaison between frontline security staff and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage security personnel on assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to security protocols and operational procedures
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of facilities to identify security vulnerabilities and potential risks
• Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarm systems and access control systems to ensure proper functionality
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating appropriate actions and documenting occurrences
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain comprehensive security records and logs
• Conduct security briefings and training sessions for security staff to ensure compliance with protocols
• Manage access control procedures including visitor management and credential verification
• Communicate with site management regarding security concerns, breaches and recommendations for improvement
• Maintain discipline and professional conduct standards amongst security team members
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
• Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment and access control technologies
• Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills to effectively lead teams and document incidents
• Sound decision-making abilities and capacity to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations
• Physical fitness and capability to conduct regular patrols and inspections
• Valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining meticulous records
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage security personnel effectively
• First aid or CPR certification is highly desirable
