JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to the Security Manager for the proper, accurate and timely response of the security personnel to all security and law enforcement matters pertaining to the operations of the Coyote Valley Casino during all operating shifts. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of the Coyote Valley Casino.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following.

• Safeguards company assets.
• Assist the officers in handling serious incidents.
• Reviews accident and incident reports, prepares debarments (14 days or more) in the absence of the Security Manager.
• Assigns officers to areas of the Casino, schedules and monitors breaks in order to provide proper coverage and efficient service to all customers.
• Makes recommendations and assists Security Manager with recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and discipline, terminations and other personnel related issues.
• Ensure the training of all newly assigned officers and evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
• Communicate regularly with officers and keep them informed of all casino activities.
• Develops and maintains all paperwork, logs reports as well as any other required or requested written documented materials.
• Notes the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies, including those regarding confidentiality.
• Ensures uniform performance of duties are in accordance with approves procedures.
• Must abide by the dress code maintaining the professional appearance of the casino at all times.
• Must be able to work with co-workers/Supervisors/Managers.
• Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
• May be asked to perform various duties as assigned by the Security Manager or Casino Shift Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. • Ability to process information and make decisions.
• Must have no felony convictions and no serious misdemeanors convictions or criminal convictions of any kind in the past five (5) years other than traffic violations.
• Shall be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course.
• Must have good management and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Education/Experience:

1.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

2.Applicants with Military, Law Enforcement, Police or Security backgrounds will be looked upon favorably.

Language Skills:

1. Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

Reasoning Ability:

1.Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with both customers and employees.

2.Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate loud. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an intense environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.

• The work environment is not smoke free.

1.Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
