Security Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

A. Security Operations

• Supervise security guards deployed at all university gates, academic blocks, hostels, parking areas, and other critical locations.
• Ensure proper security arrangements during day and night shifts.
• Conduct regular campus patrolling and verify the presence of security guards at designated posts.
• Monitor entry and exit of students, employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with visitor pass, vehicle entry, and material movement procedures.

B. Manpower Management
6. Prepare daily duty rosters and ensure adequate deployment of security personnel.
7. Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, uniform, and discipline of guards.
8. Arrange replacement staff in case of absenteeism or emergencies.
9. Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover between outgoing and incoming security teams.
10. Train security guards in emergency response, professional conduct, and university security procedures.

C. Safety and Incident Management
11. Respond promptly to security incidents, fights, thefts, unauthorized entry, suspicious activities, and emergencies.
12. Coordinate with the Senior Security Officer, Administration Department, Student Welfare Department, and Proctor Board whenever required.
13. Coordinate with police, fire services, ambulance services, and other authorities as directed.
14. Ensure proper functioning and monitoring of CCTV cameras, access control systems, and security equipment.
15. Support fire evacuation, emergency drills, crowd management, and disaster response activities.

D. Documentation and Reporting
16. Maintain gate registers, visitor registers, vehicle registers, incident registers, material movement records, and shift handover reports.
17. Submit daily security deployment and incident reports to the reporting officer.
18. Report security lapses, unauthorized absences, equipment failures, and violations immediately.
19. Maintain confidentiality and ensure professional handling of sensitive information.

E. Event and Campus Security
20. Manage security arrangements during examinations, admissions, university events, VIP visits, convocations, and other major functions.
21. Ensure orderly movement of vehicles and prevent unauthorized parking.
22. Monitor sensitive locations and ensure protection of university assets.
23. Maintain courteous and disciplined behaviour while dealing with students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
