Security Supervisor

Safeguard Security is seeking reliable, professional, and alert Security Guards to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Successful candidates will help protect people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment across assigned sites.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong observation skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned premises to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, theft, and property damage.
• Conduct routine security checks and identify potential safety hazards or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify the identity and authorization of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors as required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required security documentation.
• Enforce site-specific security procedures, company policies, and applicable safety requirements.
• Communicate security concerns promptly to supervisors, site representatives, or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence and provide courteous assistance to staff, visitors, and members of the public.
• Follow assigned post orders, instructions, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A valid Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act security worker licence.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and alert in challenging situations.
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and comply with site-specific procedures.
• Ability to pass applicable background screening and meet assignment-specific requirements.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset or may be required for certain assignments.
• Previous security experience is an asset.

Shift Availability

Candidates available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays are encouraged to apply. Scheduling and assignments will depend on operational requirements.
